EXCLUSIVE: The Red Lion Pub Facing ‘Refurbishment’

POPULAR Conservative watering hole, The Red Lion in Westminster, is facing REFURBISHMENT plans, London Spin Online can reveal. The proposals, which include scaffolding, replacement carpets, a new sign and wall stripping, could mean temporary closure whilst the work takes place. One activist contacted this newspaper IN TEARS over the plans, saying the changes could have a profound impact on their daily life.

In an interview at the pub last night, Kash Karib was told personally, “I don’t know what you’re going to do, you’re here all the time.”

The new-look Red Lion is said to include a HOT FOOD COUNTER in the main bar, a jazzed up cellar bar and a shiny new front design to wow punters in Westminster. Boasting turn-of-the-century features, etched glass or surfeit of mahogany, The Red Lion is also the closest pub to Downing Street.

In response to the news, London Spin Online has set up an emergency email address for punters to receive counselling and advice during this difficult time.
If you need advice or help in these difficult times, we’re always here to talk: editor@londonspinonline.com
