CANDIDATE for National Chairman of Conservative Future, Ben Howlett, last night DISCUSSED the future of the Tory Party’s youth organization with Baroness Thatcher, London Spin can reveal.In a move that will woo right-wing voters, Howlett also secured good luck wishes from the iconic iron lady. Speaking to this newspaper, he said, “this is the most important Prime Minister of post war Britain and it is great to see how well she is. It was excellent to meet see so many CF'ers, I took a brilliant photo of Birmingham CF with the great Lady which I hope will be of use for their website. Conservative Way Forward once again organised a fantastic event and as Don Porter, President of CWF said, it was great to see so many young people in attendance."

Howlett stands behind Thatcher, claims lots of things.
That was a cheap shot Howlett, abusing the great Baroness when we all know she is not well.
This is a very tenuous attempt to get a high profile endorsement.... he should feel ashamed.

I am shocked Ben would do this.
He just gets more and more pathetic and desperate. These stunts impress no one; it just makes it clearer that he's spinning (really badly). His vacuous campaign so far has been a tissue of, at best, major exaggerations.
I attended the CWF Summer Party last night and Howlett's claims to have 'discussed' anything with Baroness Thatcher are incorrect. The Great Lady arrived, and spent the time she was there sat down, where people mobbed her for photos.
He may well have got a 'good luck' if he managed to briefly explain that he was running for CF chair, but any more would have been unlikely to say the least.
So Simon promises to go along to another event and fails to show up...does he really exist? As a CWF member, Ben was the only Chairman candidate to go to the CWF event, the others who profess to be 'right wing' didn't turn up.
Also given from what I read on here that Holly Smith is backing Ben I think is digusting to post a comment in her name...Grow up Simon! (you may not have been a member then, but people can see through your Richardson campaign technique).
Eh? when did Simon promise to attend this event Lauren? Think your missing something. Also don't forget that Ben is the London Candidate, neither Simon nor Craig are based in the Capital.
Also great to see another attempt at an immature smear, what proof do you have that anybody wrote that post? None, but yet again Howlett's clearly playing dirty.
My god, he has got so desperate that he is standing behind old ladies for Pictures and then making things up! Somebody should tell him it's better to pull out with grace than fight like a desperate man to an inevitable loss.
Would love to meet this 'Lauren' but I gave up meeting imaginary friends many years ago.
@ Yasin, everybody knows "Lauren" real name begins with Peter, Kit, Ben or Alexandra. That's all the do all day, being the sole voice of defence to the indefensible.
