Exclusive: Philip Smith Running for CF Deputy Chairman

CHAIRMAN of the Northern CF Partnership, Philip Smith, is standing for a national position as Deputy Chairman, Political, this newspaper can reveal. The seasoned political activist, who has overseen huge membership growth in the North of England, threw his hat into the ring with an online Facebook campaign.

Speaking to London Spin, one of the UK's top political blogs, he said, "I am running for Deputy National Chairman Political of Conservative Future because I believe the Conservative Party can win a majority at the next Election and know that CF can play a crucial role in achieving this. I also strongly believe that we need to increase the opportunities and support we provide to young members. If elected, I will push social and campaign development forward to encourage new members to join and remain active within our political family.

I am a Working Class Conservative from Leeds firmly cemented in the belief of the small state. Growing up in a deprived area has taught me the importance of self-development. I have overcome challenges through a tenacious and questioning approach - drawing on wide-ranging expertise.

I joined the Party at the age of 15 having experienced firsthand Labours failure to tackle the menace of anti-social behaviour. Through my heavily active campaign experiences across the North of England I have learnt to be proactive, adaptable and conscientious. These skills have been tested over many years during my time serving as Regional Chairman of Yorkshire and Humber. I consistently work to the highest professional standards and thrive when working as part of a cohesive team to deliver results that yield multiple benefits.

I believe my experiences to date make me well equipped and capable of leading an effective political and campaigning team under the leadership of the National Chairman. I have a track record of delivering results for CF as well as building up vital communication channels. I invite you to support my campaign. I make a firm pledge to get my hands dirty, work hard for you and fight for every extra resource to support members."

Sound!!!! I had my doubts about Philip's Northern CF venture at first, but Philip's personality and hard work made it happen. He has achieved a great deal in a very short time. Looking forward to the Northern CF Christmas Party. Good man.

The man is a self-promoting arse. Those of us who have true experience have seen people demonstrating the same character traits as Smith before. They come and they go, damaging the party in the process.

If Smith is elected, he will be an appalling addition to the already weak CF team.

The Anonymous of Nov 16th who slated Philip for going to a Polytechnic may like to learn how to construct a sentence that makes sense before spouting his bigoted views in public.

Poly Scum!

Last time I checked, a degree was not a requirement for standing for the CF national executive...

Anyway, if the university that the candidate attended is seriously being used as an insult, it actually looks like a compliment to the rest of Smith's campaign. Immature.

Good luck Philip, I'd pleased you're running for it and I'm sure you'll get a lot of support - you deserve it!
