Over the last few weeks I have been to Cardiff, Swansea, Exeter and Leicester, Over the coming weeks I intend to hold a National Tour once again meeting members and branches all across the UK. Slightly patronising suggesting chips and gravy are the stable Northern diet. Just shows how out of touch Ben and the London obsessed cf executive really are.
I can't believe this. I'm a Yorkshireman - and I get enough of this from southerners - even though I do love the two together! But patronizing indeed...
Not really a fan of chips and gravy to be fair.... if it were chips and mushy peas though...
Howlett lived in Durham for 3 and a half years, he knows the north very well
Agree with the above, but then it's typical of the snobbery the London-centric Ben and co. spew.
I met Howlett today he is such a nice guy and knocked on lots of doors with us. Cottage pie was the food of the day though ;)
hes clearly been on the gravy and chips for far too long given his pudgy belly
As long as Tories keep treating Northerners as if they're a different, (slightly deficient) race, the Tories won't get the votes of me and many others.
So is contempt for anyone not born in the Home Counties official party policy, or simply a case of the truth will out?
I can promise you that Durham University is hardly representative of the north. Let's be honest, it's full of southern pr1cks who weren't good enough to go to Oxbridge. It's not even in the bloody Russell Group.
