Labour’s Web Tsar Backs UKIP

LABOUR’S Web Chief Laurence Durnan tonight robustly defended his notorious right-wing chums in a sensational online post, London Spin can reveal. The controversial blogger, who was spotted clinking glasses at the official launch of Trade Union Reform Campaign, publicly announced his support for recent Tory defectors who had joined UKIP in a passionate online defence.

The news is likely to raise eyebrows among Labour supporters who have already become uneasy at Durnan’s ‘warmth’ to the right-wing media and who fear he has become ‘bewitched’ by right-wing bloggers due to the profile raising press coverage he enjoys.

Despite running his website ‘Political Scrapbook’ from his office fulltime -which includes a landline and desk space - Durnan has yet to claim a single serious political scalp. So far the blog has only delivered a collection of ironic friendly fire attacks on Tory MP Aiden Burley and a series of bizarre syndications in The Huffington Post – for which nobody can find a logical explanation.

As one source in the national left-wing media told this newspaper only weeks ago over lunch, “You lot have Gudio Fawkes, and what have we got? Well there’s Political Scrapbook but it’s erm…erm.”
